How many weekly hours of play does the hybrid POWERgrass system allow during the competitive season and for how many years can it sustain the hybrid pitch compared to a traditional natural or synthetic grass pitch?

The POWERgrass hybrid grass system offers both players and field organizers numerous advantages. Indeed, one of these advantages is, without a doubt, the greater hourly availability of play compared to a traditional natural grass pitch and even a synthetic grass one, especially when the environment is warm and humid. For us, "preparing a playing field" not only involves considering the performance of the field, but also ensuring a comfortable environment for players and spectators.

A natural grass field, due to its fragility, requires care and time for the recovery of natural grass, thus limiting the hours of use. In comparison, a synthetic grass field, although it requires less maintenance, may not offer the same playing comfort due to its stiffness and the heat emitted by the synthetic material on warmer days, causing a decrease in usage time.

Taking these factors into account, the POWERgrass system guarantees up to 30 hours of weekly play, that is a maximum of 1320 hours over the competitive season calculated for 44 weeks. This figure is at least triple the hours offered by a natural grass pitch, and certainly higher (where it's hot) or equivalent to those of a synthetic grass pitch.

In terms of duration, a POWERgrass hybrid grass field can last up to 15-20 years, twice as long as a traditional synthetic grass field, provided that proper maintenance is carried out. This considerably long period of time is due to the resistance and robustness of the POWERgrass system, which combines the positive aspects of natural and synthetic grass.

The natural grass, supported by the synthetic component, is more resistant to various weather conditions and continuous trampling, while the synthetic component, supported by the natural regeneration of the grass, is less abrasive and hot compared to a completely synthetic field. In addition, the natural grass offers protection to synthetic fibers from exposure to the sun's UV rays, which can cause premature aging, and from game wear. Consequently, their resistance over time is significantly superior.

The duration and the effectiveness of the POWERgrass hybrid grass system makes it a valid and effective choice for sports venues that aim to ensure a high level of performance and comfort for players and spectators, without sacrificing respect for the environment.

The duration and efficiency of the POWERgrass system can vary depending on the quality of the soil, the maintenance programs implemented, and the measures taken to protect the field. However, with careful and responsible management, it is possible to ensure a continuous, efficient, and sustainable use of the hybrid grass POWERgrass field for many more years without the need for a mandatory field replacement.
