- From an economic perspective: the solution promises greater usability, safety during play, and minimal maintenance costs, guaranteeing up to 30 hours of play per week, which represents the actual usage requirement. The total cost, including construction, maintenance, and dismantling, is equal to or less than a synthetic field with rubber, thanks to a longer lifespan and payback period, which is estimated to be more than 20 years, more than double compared to a traditional synthetic field.
- From a social perspective: the solution enables the acquisition of new skills for ecological maintenance, paving the way for a deeper understanding of the principles of organic farming, without the use of pesticides and with limited use of synthetic fertilizers. Additionally, the outcome principle introduced by the new procurement code requires monitoring of the field throughout its useful life, implying the need to train new technicians who can conduct periodic checks on its characteristics.
- From an environmental perspective: considering the dimensions of an 11-a-side sports field, it is necessary to meet the 6 environmental objectives of the EU according to the Green Taxonomy defined by EU regulation 852 of 2020. Therefore, to achieve environmental sustainability it is necessary to have a positive impact on at least one of these targets and not to cause significant harm to the other five. It's worth noting that a municipal technician might not be an expert in environmental matters, but in general terms, should be able to determine whether the expected impact is positive or negative.
